About this mission

We are currently looking for an Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll Senior Consultant to strengthen the Cronos Europa team.

As a member of our team, you will support a strategic payroll transformation initiative involving the assessment and potential migration from a legacy payroll platform to Oracle Cloud Payroll. You will act as a senior subject matter expert, performing payroll fit-gap analysis, readiness assessments, implementation planning, and providing recommendations to support executive decision-making.

Assignment details:

  • Start Date: 07 September 2026
  • End Date: 12 January 2027
  • Extension: The assignment may be extended by up to 50% of the initial duration.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and review payroll-related documentation, including business rules, configurations, customisations, interfaces, extensions, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Analyse the current payroll environment and understand business processes and organisational challenges.
  • Conduct detailed fit-gap analyses between the existing payroll solution and Oracle Cloud Payroll capabilities.
  • Identify areas where standard Oracle Payroll functionality can meet business requirements and highlight potential functional and technical gaps.
  • Assess complex payroll requirements including retroactive processing, gross-to-NET calculations, costing, pension schemes, multi-contract scenarios, and statutory obligations.
  • Evaluate configuration and extension approaches using Oracle best practices and available Oracle HCM technologies.
  • Analyse impacts on surrounding domains such as Core HR, Benefits, Pensions, Finance, Reporting, and Compliance.
  • Define high-level implementation roadmaps, project phases, dependencies, and critical-path activities.
  • Estimate implementation efforts related to configuration, data migration, integrations, testing, training, and go-live support.
  • Perform readiness assessments covering data, processes, systems, governance, and organisational capabilities.
  • Identify project risks, mitigation measures, assumptions, and prerequisites.
  • Produce executive-level deliverables including assessment reports, migration roadmaps, recommendations, presentations, and decision-support materials.
  • Facilitate workshops and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Human Resources Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in payroll transformation, payroll implementation, or Oracle HCM Payroll consulting.
  • Participation in at least one full Oracle Payroll Cloud implementation project within a large or highly regulated organisation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality functional and technical documentation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex payroll concepts to both technical and business audiences.
  • Strong organisational and planning capabilities.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory

Technical skills:

  • Extensive experience with Oracle Cloud Payroll.
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Payroll Elements Configuration
    • Fast Formulas
    • Payroll Balances
    • Costing
    • Retro Pay Processing
    • Off-Cycle Payrolls
    • Payroll Flows
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle HCM technical tools such as:
    • HCM Extracts
    • Hdl (HCM Data Loader)
    • BI Publisher
    • REST/SOAP APIs
    • Oracle Integration Cloud (Oic)
  • Proven experience conducting payroll fit-gap analyses and migration assessments.
  • Experience defining payroll testing strategies, including:
    • Unit Testing
    • System Integration Testing (SIT)
    • User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
    • Parallel Payroll Runs
  • Strong knowledge of payroll data migration, cleansing, conversion, and validation activities.
  • Understanding of payroll integrations with HR, Finance, and reporting systems.
  • Knowledge of highly regulated payroll environments.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Global Payroll is considered a strong asset, particularly:
    • Elements and Brackets Configuration
    • Retroactivity Logic
    • Pay Calendars and Segmentation
    • Rules-Based Engines and Custom Extensions
